LUMBAGO
If pain suddenly occurs …
Lumbago refers frequently to occurring acute onset of pain in the affected area. The reason for this is mostly unknown, but is suspected to be a short-term disruption in the facet joints, "neuritis", disc movements or the like.
This short stimulus leads to a massive contraction of the surrounding muscles, which in turn will exert further pressure on the affected nerve.
This vicious cycle can often be solved only through controlled infiltrations (facet joint infiltration, sacroiliac joint infiltration).
